Ointment Option
First Day:
- Remove the Dri-Lock or Tegaderm bandage 1-2 hours after your session.
Days 1–5:
- Gently clean the tattoo with warm water and a small amount of unscented antibacterial soap. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Vitamin A&D Ointment to the tattoo. Use sparingly to avoid over-application, which can delay healing.
- If needed, cover the tattoo with a Dri-Lock bandage secured with surgical and athletic tape.
Days 6–14 (As Needed):
- Use a small amount of Unscented Body Lotion to lightly moisturize the tattooed area.
Day 14+:
- Once the tattoo is fully healed (usually 2-4 weeks), apply sunscreen to protect the area. Do not use sunscreen on a fresh or healing tattoo.
Important Notes:
- Avoid soaking the tattoo in water (baths, pools, etc.) for at least 14 days.
- Keep pets away from the tattoo to prevent contamination or infection.
- Do not scratch or pick at scabs if they form.

- Tattoos typically heal within four weeks. If touch-ups are needed, contact us to schedule an appointment.

First 1–6 Days:

- Clean the tattoo as described above, pat it dry, and apply a new Tegaderm(Second Skin) if needed. Ensure the patch covers a 1-inch border around the tattoo.
- Remove Tegaderm(Second Skin) after 5-6 days. Try doing it in a warm shower to soften the adhesive. Slowly pull the edges to the side until removed. Wash with
Allergy Note:
- Let your artist know if you’re sensitive to adhesives to avoid irritation and delayed healing. If redness or irritation occurs, stop using Tegaderm and follow the Ointment Option care instructions.
